With Fluffy acting as helmsman of our sailboat, we had the good fortune (and great surprise!) of spotting orcas in the harbour--lots of them (maybe 8 or 10, including a few calves)! We're talking forget-to-breathe, hop-up-and-down exciting! It made my day, maybe my whole trip!
Even the crew of our sailboat were excited! Apparently, orcas rarely make their way into the harbour. Our crew speculated they may have been lured closer in, chasing some favorite foods: sharks and stingrays.
